Article 1: The purpose of these rules is to inform visitors to the site of the conditions of visits. It is intended to ensure the safety of people, the preservation of the premises and the quality of the visit.
TITLE I - ACCESS TO THE SITE
Article 2: The site is open to the public according to the hours indicated at the entrance. Please respect the opening and closing times.
Article 3: Entry and travel to the site require the possession of an access ticket (ticket or pass issued by SRPPH).
Article 4: It is forbidden to bring the following items into the site:
- Weapons and ammunition,
- Explosive, flammable or volatile substances,
- Dangerous, foul-smelling, excessively heavy or bulky objects,
- Animals,
It is generally forbidden to picnic or consume food inside the Chellah. Bottled water is allowed.
Article 5: Access to the site is limited to 1 hour before closing. The reception and surveillance staff will ask the public to go to the exits so that the last visitors can leave the site before closing time.
TITLE II — GENERAL VISITOR BEHAVIOUR
Article 6: In the interest of heritage protection, visitors are prohibited from:
- To affix graffiti, inscriptions, marks or dirt anywhere on the site,
- To indulge in running, sliding or climbing,
- To abandon, even for a moment, personal belongings,
- Smoking and spitting on the site,
- Throwing paper or rubbish, including chewing gum, on the ground,
- To disturb other visitors by any noisy demonstration, in particular by listening to devices or by using mobile phones.
Article 7: Photographs and video recordings of (non-professional) visitors to the site are permitted.
Article 8: The express prior consent of the Site Management (SRRPH) is required in the following cases:
- Film recordings;
- Recording of radio or television broadcasts, as well as photos/videos;
- Professional shooting;
- In general, the organization of any type of event requires prior authorization.
Article 9: Surveys and polls of visitors and staff require prior authorization from the Site Management (SRRPH).
TITLE III - SECURITY OF PERSONS, WORKS AND THE SITE
Article 10: Visitors must avoid any action that may jeopardize the safety of people and property.
Article 11: Visitors are asked to immediately report any accident or abnormal incident to a security guard.
Article 12: In the event of an accident or illness, it is strictly forbidden to move the affected person, to make him ingest anything, or to administer any medication before the arrival of the emergency services. The person should be kept in the position in which he or she is being held, and any unprofessional medical intervention should be avoided while waiting for the arrival of qualified assistance.
Article 13: At any time, for imperative reasons of security or safety, measures may be taken, including the closure of access and exit control.
TITLE IV - COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES OF PROCEDURE
Article 14: The public is required to follow the instructions and recommendations of the site agents.
Article 15: Failure to comply with the provisions of these regulations exposes the offender to sanctions, including expulsion from the site, and, if necessary, legal proceedings. It is imperative to strictly comply with the established rules in order to avoid any inconvenience and to preserve the integrity of the regulatory framework in force.
Article 16 : Any person who intentionally mutilates, damages or threatens to damage the site, its collections or objects related to its maintenance and enhancement shall be liable to a penalty and punishment in accordance with Law No. 22-80 on the conservation of historical monuments and sites, inscriptions, works of art and antiquity promulgated by Dahir No. 1-80-341 of 17 Safar 1401 (25 December 1980).
Article 17: Any verbal or physical aggression committed by a visitor against an employee of the establishment may be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code.
