Visit Chellah

The archaeological site of Chellah, whose origins date back to antiquity, is much more than just a collection of ancient remains.

It is a living testimony to the history of Morocco and the evolution of its civilization through the ages. Its classification as a historical monument in 1920 and its inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012 underline its outstanding universal value.

Composed of an ancient city, a Marinid necropolis, and surrounded by a 1-kilometer-long Marinid wall, this site extends over an area of 7 hectares.
