The Chellah site, located in Rabat on the left bank of the Bouregreg River, rests in the immediate vicinity of the east of the Royal Palace and the emblematic ramparts of the Almohad era. These ruins bear witness to the ancient city, once called Sala colonia, partially occupied by a vast Marinid necropolis during the medieval period (Shâlla), and are grouped together in the heart of a 7,000 square meter archaeological park. This tour is embellished with informative and orientation panels for visitors.
